Natura

The present work shows the process of bark shedding from gumtrees. This annual reoccurring  process creates space for the tree to grow and make room for something new. The artwork represents the artist’s creative development over the last year; the application of new techniques that creates an area with new possibilities. The creation is inspired by the change of environment that the artist has gone through recently (moving from overseas), presenting that a new environment makes you more aware of your surroundings, things that you would usually take for granted.
